WORLD AIDS DAY HEALTH & RESOURCES CELEBRATION
Columbia, South Carolina – On Saturday, December 1, 2018 the Joseph H. Neal Health Collaborative in partnership with CAN Community Health and The YMCA of Downtown Columbia, will welcome all to our 2018 World AIDS Day Health & Resources Celebration. The event will be held in the newly renovated, state-of-the-art Downtown YMCA from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at 1447 Hampton St. Columbia, SC 29201.
World AIDS Day is dedicated to commemorating the 35 million people who have died from HIV/AIDS, as well as support and advocate for the 36.9 million people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) today. Founded in 1988, it is recognized annually on December 1st and provides an opportunity for the Columbia community to provide a network of education, care, and resources to PLWHA and those at risk. We welcome you to join us in doing so at the World AIDS Day Health & Resources Celebration. The event will include HIV/AIDS education and advocacy seminars, health screenings, free food and wellness classes, community resourcing with local and statewide organizations, and some highly sought-after raffles.
This event is FREE, family friendly and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
