Women of First Calvary Baptist Church to host 2-Day Symposium and Revival

The Women of First Calvary Baptist Church will present a two-day Women in Missions and Ministry Symposium and Revival scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019 (10:30 am – 1:30 pm) and Sunday, March 17, 2019 (10:30 am and 5:00 pm) at First Calvary Baptist Church (1401 Pine Street – Columbia, South Carolina). Saturday, March 16, 2019 Symposium Facilitators will include Reverend Dr. Lillie Burgess (Ridgewood Baptist Church), Mrs. Jessie Chandler (Zion Canaan Baptist Church), Reverend Dr. Cynthia Walters (Zion Baptist Church), Reverend Lenore Bonaparte (Grace Heritage Ministries), and Reverend Elizabeth Wine (Gunter’s Chapel Baptist Church).  The Revivalist scheduled for Sunday, March 17, 2019 is Reverend Dr. Suzan D. Johnson Cook.

A Faith Leader, Entrepreneur, Educator, Success Strategist, International Influencer, Communications Expert,  and Diplomat, the HonorableSuzan Johnson Cook was the first female and African-American to hold the position of U.S. Ambassador for International Religious Freedom. Nominated by Secretary Hillary Clinton, and appointed by President Barack Obama, she was the principal advisor to the President of the United States and Secretary of State, for religious freedom, globally, having all l99 countries in her portfolio, and integrating religious freedom into the foreign policy and national security discussions.

The Symposium and Revival will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1401 Pine Street – Columbia, SC 29204. The public is invited. There is no cost for attendance.
