Tie One on for Safety Campaign

Sheriff Leon Lott and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department have partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) on their Tie One on for Safety Campaign, which is an initiative to promote the prevention of drunk driving this holiday season. Sheriff Leon Lott knows the holidays are a time for celebration and is a strong supporter for the awareness campaign that’s asking our communities to always designate a non-drinking driver. Let’s make this holiday season one that we can all have cherished memories of for a lifetime! Stay safe, Drive Alert, Designate a Driver…Arrive Alive.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that other Midlands law enforcement agencies, including the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Columbia Police Department and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have also partnered with MADD on this awareness campaign. Sheriff Leon Lott added that as a reminded we will be out patrolling the roads continuing to make sure drivers obey the laws.
