This ranking honor was posted by the travel website, Only In Your in the August 2015 issue. Thee Matriarch also recently garnered national ranking among The Top 7 Black-Owned Bed and Breakfast Inns as reported in the August 2014 issue by Black Enterprise.

In 1995 Main Street South Carolina recognized Rachelle and Rachelle’s Island Boutique for the Master Merchant Award for downtown revitalization for the City of Orangeburg.  She has been honored by the National Council of Negro Women, and in 1999 the U.S. Department of Commerce named her the National Minority Female Entrepreneur of the Year and in the same year received the Trailblazer Award from BB&T Bank.  In 2012 the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman’s Award was award to Jamerson-Holmes for outstanding support and service.
