The Balm In Gilead Announces the 2017 Healthy Churches 2020 National Conference in Hilton Head, South Carolina

RICHMOND, Va. – The Balm In Gilead, Inc. is proud to announce the 2017 Healthy Churches 2020 National Conference, November 14-17, 2017 in Hilton Head, South Carolina. This 3-day national, capacity building, training conference brings the nation’s prominent public health and faith leaders together to address the alarming rates of health disparities among African Americans.
Healthy Churches 2020 also introduces to the conference this year, The Institute on Tuesday, November 14. The Institute is a pre-conference opportunity to engage in more in-depth sessions surrounding health promotion and disease prevention. CEU credits are available for this extended day to those attending these special sessions.

The conference is designed to strengthen the skills and leadership capacity of pastors and persons who are responsible for the Health Ministry, Annual Health Fair, Kitchen Ministry, Nurses Ministry, Men and Women’s Ministry and all aspects of health and compassion within the congregation and community.
