Sylvia T. Hanna Returns To Lead Decker Blvd. Business Coalition

Sylvia Taylor Hanna, Founder and President of the Decker Blvd. Business Coalition has returned to revitalize the organization. Mrs. Hanna was instrumental in the establishment of the DeckerBoulevard Business Coalition in 2006. She stepped down from this position in2010 and recently returned to reestablish the group. It was under herleadership that Decker Blvd. was granted the designation of being named the“International Corridor” by Richland County in 2008 and obtaining a 501(3)non-profit status by the IRS.

The DeckerBlvd. Business Coalition is a group of Business Owners, Community Leaders,Neighborhood Groups who are interested in the well-being and advancement of theDecker Blvd. corridor, and also to showcase and spotlight the richInternational culture and diversity of Decker.

The Decker Boulevard Business Coalition (DBBC) hosted a second in series of safety tips for  The program which is being conducted in partnership with the Richland County Sheriff department focused on how to increase protection against robbery, counterfeiting identification, security cameras and more.

According to Sylvia T. Hanna, President/Founder of DBBC, the time is right to revisit security tips going into the holiday season. “We feel the program did enlighten
business owners /managers in being aware and prepared for any mishaps,” said Hanna.
