Cayce, S.C.– Casey Logan, P.E., a power quality engineer with South Carolina Electric and Gas (SCE&G) and a member of the company’s renewable energy team, has been appointed to the South Carolina Solar Council, a state chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) with the purpose of promoting the wide utilization of solar energy through such means as providing solar energy education, promoting the application of solar energy technologies, and acting as a solar energy technologies expert resource for the people of South Carolina.

Logan has been with SCE&G for eight years and manages interconnectivity for all of the company’s net metering and projects related to SCE&G’s renewables products and services.

In late 2013, SCE&G announced its renewable energy team and its commitment to developing a comprehensive strategy for the design, implementation and marketing of renewable energy resources such as solar, wind and biomass throughout SCE&G’s service territory.

“We are pleased with Casey’s appointment to the South Carolina Solar Council as we work together to develop renewable energy resources in the state,” said Marcus Harris, general manager of renewable products and services at SCE&G.
