The Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, in partnership with the All Out Ryders of Lexington Motorcycle Club is pleased to announce the Fatherhood Coalition Charity Ride on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Proceeds of the event will go toward the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition program.

The Charity ride will start at the old Fred’s-Hwy 378 parking lot and conclude at the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition office, located at 106 Fabrister Lane, Suite J, Lexington SC. Registration begins at 10:30 am, with kickstands up at 12:00 pm. The cost is $10 and participants will have the opportunity to fellowship with each other and families of the program after the ride. All vehicles are welcomed and encouraged and the event will have a Police Escort for safety. Come out and enjoy this family-friendly event.

“With the support of community minded organizations like the All Out Ryders of Lexington, SC Motorcycle Club, more fathers; regardless of their financial constraints, will have the opportunity to overcome the barriers to being a responsible and involved father” states Charles Brown – Assistant Director of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition. He adds, “We’re all stakeholders in helping fathers rebuild their lives and their families and we are devoted to helping men heal broken spirits and family relations.”

The “Midlands Fatherhood Coalition” program started as three separate organizations from 1999 – 2001; Fathers Matter, Columbia Fatherhood Engagement, and Fathers with Pride. These three projects later became independent 501(c)3 organizations. With the need to restructure to enhance coordination in the midlands area, the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition was formed to serve fathers in Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield counties and beyond. The results…average number of men served annually: 375; percentage of men participating voluntarily: 59%; and percentage of men court-ordered to jobs not jail: 41%.
