Richland County Council welcomes Security Federal Bank to Northwest Richland County

Columbia, SC – Richland County Councilman Bill Malinowski welcomed Security Federal Bank to District One during a groundbreaking ceremony.
Security Federal Bank will open a new branch in Northwest Richland County in Fall of 2015. They are estimated to invest more than $1.3 million dollars in unincorporated Richland County. The bank will bring several new jobs to the midlands, which will continue to progress Richland County’s economic growth.
“We are pleased that Security Federal Bank opened a new branch in Richland County and will be investing in our community. In December 2008, Richland County Council approved the re-zoning of the very property that the bank is building on, in anticipation of a bank utilizing this space in the future,” stated Bill Malinowski. Now, six years later, our planning practices made it possible for this bank to locate here.”
