Refreshed and Restored Ministries, Inc., (R&R), is a ministry without walls. The husband and wife team of Clayton and Alecia Bryant believe their ministry will help create a better today and best tomorrow by helping one person at a time. Their ultimate vision is one community under an umbrella of one vision.  Refreshed & Restored Ministries, Inc. strives to build intergenerational networks; inspire people with hope, encouragement, and love; and help people reach their God-given potential.  The non-profit organization believes in refreshing hope and restoring dreams in both youth and older adult communities.

Always looking for opportunities to make a difference, R&R, provided a critical service to the community through assistance in the recent flood relief efforts. The ministry, in concert with a local church, distributed free supplies to displaced families every Saturday during a 4 week period.  This outreach impacted over 200 families.

The Bryant’s are the founders of Refreshed and Restored Ministries & Thrift Store, Inc. located at 6729 Two Notch Road Columbia SC. The thrift store has been open since August 2014 and serves as a vital funding source to support the various ministries. Most items received in the store are donated.   They offer a pickup service for gently used items.

Refreshed and Restored Ministries works with teenagers who have “hit a bump in the road” and are in need of a safe place to do community service.  Following are comments from teens who have both volunteered as well as performed community service at R&R. Inc.  Over 18 teens have volunteered at R&R, Inc. since opening in August, 2014.

“That store taught me how to be responsible, respectful, kind… and, to strive for excellence.” Nikayla M.

“Mr. Clayton is very respectful and has a high expectation for those working with him; this made me a better and more responsible person…” Daniel G.

“Our agency began sending students to complete their community service requirement since 2014.  Refreshed and Restored Ministries, Inc. staff has been wonderful welcoming our students despite their minor brush with the law.”  Retired Lt. Kimberly Myers

Some of the adult volunteers are from Re-Employability Inc., an agency that assists those who have been injured on the job and require light duty work until they recover from their injuries.

The organization also works with Transitions To Work, an agency which assists persons 50+ years older transition back into the workplace.  To date, over 15 adults transitioning back into the workplace have worked to assist R&R, Inc. in bridging the intergenerational gap.

“Working with R&R, Inc. has helped me develop the confidence and motivation to pursue a new career at 58 years old.  I’m now the assistant director of a major agency”.  Thank you R&R for providing a positive environment and giving me a chance to re-cultivate my leadership skills.”  said Sylvia Ash.

Youth and adults bridge generation gaps at R&R through mentorship and work.

Financial and household donations are critical towards helping to sustain the vital mentorship and work skills programs. Volunteers are always welcomed.  Please contact:
