Families Improving Together

Project FIT, Families Improving Together, is excited to announce their upcoming summer session!

Project FIT is a fun, and interactive research project at the University of South Carolina. The aim of FIT is to help African-American families with youth between the ages of 11-16 learn positive lifestyle habits to prevent chronic disease, such as Type 2 Diabetes, and improve their health for life.

Project FIT involves 10 weekly, face-to-face, group sessions on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Then, families participate in 8 weeks of online sessions, where they log online once a week. Throughout the course of the program, families complete surveys and measurements (such as height and weight). As a thank you for completing these measures, families receive $130, paid in installments throughout the program.

How to Become Involved:

HURRY! Space is limited for our summer session, which begins the week of June 21st. The last day to enroll will be June 13th!
