The Polar Express 4-D Experience Returns to the South Carolina Aquarium
Celebrate the Magic of the Holiday Sea-son by Taking an Extraordinary Adventure to the North Pole
CHARLESTON, S.C. — Children and adults of all ages are invited to see The Polar Express come to life at the South Carolina Aquarium’s 4-D Immersion Theater. The Polar Express 4-D Experience, a 15-minute film, is playing at the Aquarium now through Dec. 31, 2015.
The Polar Express 4-D Experience is based on the beloved children’s book featuring a young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole. The 4-D theater combines 3-D imagery, interactive seating and waves of special effects such as snow, gusts of wind, the smell of hot chocolate and movement under your feet, all synchronized to a 15-minute version of the film.
The movie and a visit to the Aquarium are the perfect family activities to kick off the holiday season. Tickets to the 4-D Theater maybe purchased as part of the Premier Pass to the Aquarium, or individually for $6.95. The Polar Express 4-D Experience is approximately 15 minutes in length with multiple show times daily. The 50-seat theater sits adjacent to the Aquarium and is ADA compliant.
