Office of Business Opportunities hosts Power Hour Event

The City of Columbia’s Office of Business Opportunities hosted Power Hour: Opportunities, Resources, Connections at Optus Bank, 1241 Main St. This event was open to potential, new, and existing small business owners throughout the Midlands area.

The topics covered during this Power Hour networking session were establishing business credit and securing business financing. Our expert panel will included:

Dominik Mjartan, President and CEO, Optus Bank, Columbia, SC.

Frank A. Anderson, Lender Relations Specialist, South Carolina District Office, U.S. Small Business Administration.

James Chatfield, Chief Lending Officer, South Carolina Community Loan Fund.

Mr. Hebrew Dixon, III, Project Director, Mid-South Atlantic Small Business Transportation Resource Center, US Department of Transportation.

Business owners were given the opportunity to hear about services provided by the City of Columbia for small business owners, upcoming trainings and workshops, to network, and create long-term business relationships with other businesses.
