Executive director Sabrina Odom of the North Columbia Business Association held the first rebranding meeting on Tuesday, April 28th at the Trestle building located at 2965 Main Street.

This meeting included Councilman Sam Davis, business owners and various community leaders in North Columbia as they gathered for a meeting of the minds on the direction of North Columbia. Councilman Davis reminded the group that “North Columbia is prime for development”. Boasting North Columbia as the “hidden gem”, Councilman Davis and other members of the community worked in groups to talk about the perception of the area, what businesses and citizens want to see in the area, as well as choosing a name for the area.

“We are serious about making real change in North Columbia. It’s going to take everyone coming to the table to work hard for our businesses and communities”, says Sabrina Odom.

The evening ended with a collection of ideas and suggestions from participants and another meeting will be scheduled as early as next month.
