Mission Lexington Announces August Impact Key Players

Mission Lexington is excited to highlight the following as August’s Church, Board and Volunteer of the Month for their contributions to Mission Lexington:

• Lexington Baptist is our Church of the month. They consistently donate food to Mission Lexington’s Food Pantry throughout the year, support us financially and have served as the host site for our Volunteer Dinner for the past several years. We have also been blessed with several lunches from the church during COVID as a thank you for the work that we are doing for the neighbors we serve.

• Ken Prill is our Board Member of the month. He serves at Mission Lexington Board Secretary, and joins us from Boiling Springs United Methodist Church where he is in his sixth year serving as a pastor. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he has consistently served two days each week working in our thrift store.

• Edna McKelvey is our Volunteer of the month. She serves Mission Lexington by organizing shoes, purses and books for the thrift store.

“It’s amazing to see so many people and organizations who want to serve in the community. We are beyond blessed to have their help each day!” said Robin W. Bowers, Executive Director of Mission Lexington.
