The Men of Praise, a very special and talented group of devoted Christian men, will be presented in concert at 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the C. A. Johnson High School Auditorium, 2219 Barhamville Road in Columbia. The concert is free of charge. The Men of Praise, who have performed their beautiful, harmonious a capella musical selections in many churches, auditoriums and other venues across the city, the state, and the southeast, are using this opportunity to share their talent with the community in honor of Black History month. The program is co-sponsored by C. A. Johnson High School.
Dr. Carl Wells, Assistant Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs at the University of South Carolina and Pastor of Second Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia, will serve as Master of Ceremony. Dr. Wells also serves as Director of the USC Gospel Choir. Special guest performers will be the Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Praise Team and The Smith Boys.
The Men of Praise, who are dedicated to making a joyful noise unto the Lord, have as their mission, “to praise the Lord in songs and to sponsor opportunities for success in life for young men in the metropolitan Columbia area.”
