Mayor Benjamin to Host Annual Father’s Day Cookout

Celebrate Father’s Day with Mayor Steve Benjamin at the second annual Father’s Day Cookout on Sunday, June 18 from 3-7 p.m. at Pinehurst Park, 2300 Pinehurst Road.

The event will feature a grilling competition, a family 3-on-3 basketball tournament and skills challenge, a chess/checkers tournament, inflatables, games and more!

The Father’s Day Cookout is free and open to the public. Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets. Refreshments will be served.

Registration is required for the tournaments (basketball, chess and checkers) and the grilling competition hosted by the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition.

To register for the basketball and/or chess/checkers tournaments, contact Pinehurst Park at 803-733-8449.

To register for the grilling competition, contact the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition at 803-933-0052. There is a $10 fee to participate in the Grillmaster Competition.
