On November 21, 2015, the LHS competitive cheer team won the 4A Competitive Cheer State Championship at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. The top 16 teams in the 4A division qualified to compete in the South Carolina High School League State Competitive Cheer Championships.

“We are very proud of our cheerleaders and how well they represent Lexington High on and off the mat,” said Lexington High Athletic Director Josh Stepp.
