RALEIGH, N.C. – For 62 consecutive years, the Lewis Family of eastern North Carolina , now five generations deep, has gathered on the fourth weekend in June to come together as a family, reconnect, fellowship and reflect on their rich history. Their annual family reunion event is hosted each year by a different member and branch of the Lewis family tree.

They held the first reunion 62 years ago, and we’re going to keep it going.” In addition to hosting family members and friends, the Lewis Family In Reunion event honors its commitment to family, faith, tradition and education with contributions toward the Lewis Family In Reunion endowed scholarship at Shaw University .
