Jamie Devine to Lead Community Assistance Provider

Community Assistance Provider (CAP), a local not-for-profit announces the selection of Jamie L. Devine as its new President and CEO effective January 1, 2015.

Mr. Devine joined CAP in 2005 as Housing Coordinator after serving as a Manager for The Columbia Housing authority for over ten years. Devine currently serves as Vice President of Housing Services at CAP.  In that role he is responsible for project development, all housing counseling services and all property management activities throughout the organizations fifteen County service area.

“Jamie has excelled in this role and I am certain that he will be an excellent leader for CAP as we strive to continue to provide housing and economic development opportunities throughout our fifteen county service area” states outgoing CEO and Founder, Veronica V. Rodriguez.

Mr. Devine currently serves as an elected Member of Richland County School District One Board of Commissioners. He also serves on the Board of The Midlands Housing Trust Fund and the Indian Waters Executive Council of Boy Scouts of America.  Mr. Devine is also a very active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and a faithful member of Brookland Baptist Church.

Jamie is married to Attorney and City Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine.  The Devines are the parents of three children.

***Community Assistance Provider (CAP) was established in 1999 and specializes in safe and affordable housing development throughout Richland and Lexington Counties.  CAP provides an ongoing financial management training program (offered in both English and Spanish), HUD certified housing counseling services and emergency/owner occupied housing rehabilitation services.***
