Birthday package includes cupcakes, champagne and custom wine glasses
(COLUMBIA, S.C.) – Hotel Trundle, Columbia’s first boutique, award-winning hotel, is proud to announce three years in operation as a premier Southern tourism destination, delivering uniquely curated guest experiences in the heart of Columbia, South Carolina.
In celebration of the hotel’s anniversary and the milestones achieved along the way, Hotel Trundle is offering a new package, dubbed the “Birthday Package.” Guests who take advantage of this offer will receive two cupcakes, two flights of champagne, and two Hotel Trundle wine glasses. The hotel is offering $15 off of the package during the month of April as a gift to guests.
In 2018, Hotel Trundle opened the doors of what would become a new haven for Columbia visitors. The space was crafted intentionally to capture the creativity and charm of the city, emphasizing its young and playful spirit. Located in three repurposed buildings, the 41-room boutique hotel also pays homage to the vibrant history of Columbia and spotlights work from local artists.
Today, the hotel has seen hundreds of travelers and raked in countless recognitions from entities like the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Best of Columbia Metropolitan. Hotel Trundle’s mid-century eclectic style and art-deco inspired design have attracted the attention of local and national publications, such as Atlanta Magazine, the Travel Channel, and most recently Travel + Leisure and Cuisine Noir. It also is the first and only Columbia hotel to be featured in the Southern Living Hotel Collection, of which it was invited back for a second, consecutive year.
“When we dreamed up Hotel Trundle, we envisioned a space that would reflect the vibrancy of Columbia and truly embody the magic of this special community, while bringing something new and unexpected,” said Rita Patel, co-owner of Hotel Trundle. “We are so proud of what we have accomplished with Hotel Trundle and our role in providing a backdrop for our guests’ rich experiences. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store.”
In addition to local artists, The Boudreaux Group collaborated with Mashburn Construction and Pond’s interior design team to bring the space to life. The hotel team worked in tandem to showcase the restored building’s exposed brick, stamped tin ceiling tiles, original floors, and midcentury design. Beyond the common areas, each guest’s room was uniquely curated to offer a custom experience with every stay. Amenities include wine or local beer at check-in, a complimentary hot and local breakfast delivered via contactless room service, a fitness studio, and locally roasted coffee.
