Greater Columbia Community Relations Council A Celebration of 55 Years of Service

The members of the Greater Columbia Community Relations Council’s (“CRC”) Board of Directors and the 2019 Annual Luncheon Planning Committee are pleased to announce the 55th Anniversary Luncheon and Awards Presentations on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center from 12:00-1:30 p.m. (Buffet line will open at 11:50)

The luncheon celebrates Midlands area individuals, groups and businesses who continue to bring our community together.  The event also serves as the CRC’s primary fundraiser.

2019 honorees are:

Hyman Rubin Distinguished Service honoree:

Dr. and Mrs. Harris Pastides, University of South Carolina

Milton Kimpson Community Service honoree:

Mr. Vince Ford, Senior Vice President, Prisma Health

Milton Kimpson Community Service honoree:

Ms. Lasenta Lewis-Ellis, President/CEO, LLE Construction and Need-A-Lift Transportation

Bates Jones Equity and Philanthropy honoree:

Hope In Christ Ministries

The Greater Columbia Community RelationsCouncil is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization serving the Midlands of South Carolina.  Our goal is to advocate, mediate and educate in such a way that all of the citizens of our diverse communities are included in the public policies that shape our region.  CRC’s programs include public educational forums and deliberative dialogues; mediation of contentious community issues; advocacy programs with particular emphasis on the housing needs of the disabled and low to moderate income individuals; and youth leadership engagement and mentorship.
