GREENVILLE, SC – Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands celebrated three Greenville area women at its Women of Distinction Awards Dinner recently. Selected for their exemplary commitments to career, community and family, the honorees were: Jil Littlejohn, President & CEO, Urban League of the Upstate and City of Greenville Council Member; Sue Priester, President, Cliffwood Enterprises and Trustee, Priester Foundation; and Dr. Judith S. Prince, Professor Emeritus, University of South Carolina Upstate.

States Kim Hutzell, President/CEO, Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands, “In a state where nearly half of the publicly-traded companies headquartered in South Carolina do not have any women on their boards of directors, and only one female state senator, the leadership accomplishments of these women did not come without extraordinary perseverance. They are remarkable role models of courage, confidence, and character for today’s girls who will be tomorrow’s leaders.”

The fundraising event was held at the TD Gallery, CU-ICAR, and WSPA TV7 news anchor Amy Wood was the emcee.
