Gilbert High band continues sweet tradition

GILBERT, S.C. — Continuing a time-honored tradition for band programs across the country, Gilbert High School launched its annual fruit sale this month.

GHS teamed up with Gilbert Middle School for the first time this year. Students from both schools can earn money toward their spring trip and/or band fees.

After selling seven boxes of fruit, students receive 100 percent of the profits of the sale.

Community members can place orders with a GHS or GMS student online until November 1. Deliveries will be made between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
