Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Sponsors Expungement Workshop

Columbia, SC – Several local chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will be sponsoring an Expungement Workshop on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The forum will be held at Second Nazareth Baptist Church, 2300 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, South Carolina 29204.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to find out information on the difference between expungement and pardon, what offenses can be expunged or pardoned, and other important information. Co-sponsors of the workshop include: Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitors’ Office; and South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a national public service organization that impacts the areas of education, healthcare, homelessness, social action and political awareness. The local chapters partnering for this worthwhile event include the Columbia (SC) Alumnae Chapter, Richland County Alumnae Chapter, Gamma Pi Chapter (Allen University), Gamma Upsilon Chapter (Benedict College), and Iota Chi Chapter (University of South Carolina). The service areas include Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry and Richland Counties.
