The Columbia (SC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a “Red Shoe Revue” gala in celebration of the Chapter’s 75th anniversary.  The event will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 7:00 pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel.  The Red Shoe Revue will feature entertainment by contemporary jazz artist J. Michael Peeples and the JMP Movement along with comedian Mike Goodwin, who has been hailed as “one of the brightest young minds in comedy.”  Bianca Chardei, who appeared as a contestant on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 13, will be the Mistress of Ceremonies.  Chardei is currently a motivational speaker and advocate for at-risk young ladies.

“We are excited and thrilled to host the Red Shoe Revue in honor of 75 years of sisterhood, scholarship and service to our community here in Columbia and the surrounding areas,” said Brenda Branic, President of the Columbia (SC) Alumnae Chapter.  The Chapter was founded in 1940 and since that time, its members have worked tirelessly to develop and implement public service programs focusing on the sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust, which emphasizes economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health and political awareness and involvement.

“The Red Shoe Revue will be a momentous event for us and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with our community partners and friends,” Branic said.  Tickets for the gala are $40.00 each and may be purchased by contacting Regina Hollins Lewis at 803.790.8838 or
