CONTRACTOR READINESS PROGRAMS LAUNCH FOR SOUTH CAROLINA COMPANIES

8A, DBE and ACDBE Certification Preparation for Minority-Owned Small Businesses in Aviation, Aerospace, Local, State, and Federal Government

The National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) has launched a Contractor Readiness Program for minority and women contractors.  The two four-week programs are designed for contractors to learn how to navigate the application processes, certification compliance and ongoing business development strategies to get contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and South Carolina municipalities.  The 8A Contractor Readiness Program will meet weekly in September and the DBE/ACDBE Contractor Readiness Program will meet weekly in October. Both Contractor Readiness Programs will meet in Columbia, South Carolina. Registration is open for both programs atnamcsouthcarolina.com, but space is limited.

Each week  contractors will receive technical content on related areas of 8A and DBE/ACDBE programs, respectively, from industry experts, current contractors in the programs, past contractors in the programs and prime contractors.

NAMC’s presence and voice in the industry are of even greater need today than ever before to continue the mission of providing Access (contract & resource opportunities), Advocacy (legislative impact), and Contractor Readiness (training, capacity building, and growth) for our members. The association strives to accomplish its goals in collaboration with major corporate partners, strategic alliances, and public agencies. The construction market is a relationship-driven industry. Business relationships must be developed; the strategies and approaches for pursuing, winning, and executing business is paramount. The future of NAMC lies in expanding our relationships with corporate partners to deliver the stated benefits of access, advocacy, and contractor readiness to our membership.
