Columbia MBDA Business Center to Host The Ultimate Capital Workshop

COLUMBIA, SC — The MBDA Business Center – Columbia, SC will host The Ultimate Capital Workshop on February 27, 2020. The Ultimate Capital Workshop is geared to help small, women, and minority owned businesses build a solid financial infrastructure to better attain business funding. The daylong event will take place at Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, located at 1101 Lincoln Street in Columbia, SC.

The MBDA Business Center has assembled speakers, panelists and presenters from numerous financial organizations that will provide information on the different types of capital and how to prepare to obtain capital.

“Small, women, and minority owned businesses are least likely to obtain funding because of many factors beyond their control. This workshop will show them how to best display the factors they can control to increase their chances of approval,” says Diane E. Sumpter, Operator of the SC MBDA Business Center.

In addition to the panel discussions, the Center will provide opportunities for attendees to interact directly with traditional and nontraditional funding organizations. “These chat sessions will give business owners and funders an opportunity to have a meaningful yet brief conversation that they can choose to continue at a later date,” Sumpter says.

The MBDA Business Center – Columbia, SC helps minority-owned businesses (at least 51 percent minority ownership) compete in the global economy and stimulate the national and local economy through job creation, business opportunities, and financing. The Center is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce and operated by DESA, Inc.
