Cecil Williams Exhibit Travels to Richland County
The work of Cecil Williams – a photographer, publisher and author who is best known for his photos that document the civil rights movement in South Carolina – is on display at Richland Library.
Unforgettable: Celebrating a Time of Life, Hope and Bravery includes 40 images that provide a rare glimpse of events, portraits and moments of significant social change from the 1950s through the 1970s. It’s on display through February 25, 2019 on the library’s First Level.
This exhibit is made possible with LSTA funds, provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and administered by the SC State Library through the generosity of Williams.
