CVMSDC to Host 8th Annual MBE Summit

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council will host its 8th Minority Business Enterprises Summit on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Milliken and Company located at 920 Milliken Road in Spartanburg, SC. The daylong event will connect some of the nation’s largest and most successful Minority Business Enterprises with major corporations to pursue new business opportunities and establish new business relationships.

This year’s MBE Summit theme is: “Innovation Driven by Business Results.” Highlights of the event will include: Learning How to Lead Your Business/Organization to Predictable Success and Keep it There. Participants also can attend an Energy Summit hosted by Duke Energy with guests from Fluor, SCANA and Dominion. Attendees will gain insight on the following:

  1. a) Learn specific, inspired advice and a proven strategy for how to drive your organization forward
  2. b) Learn how to transform your business from Good to Great
  3. c) Learn how to build or enhance your capability statement
  4. d) Understanding the market trends and related business opportunities in the energy industry
  5. e) Understanding your leadership style via a “live” assessment
