Blythewood High Environmental Science hosts ‘Fishing Day’

BLYTHEWOOD- Blythewood High School Environmental Science Class along with their teacher Michael Varnadore hosted their fall fishing days Thursday and Friday, Oct. 26-27.  District Two Assistant Superintendent, Keith Price, joined students with their rods, reels, and tackle making their way around the pond at BHS.  

The students fished the BHS pond and identified the species that were caught. The health of the pond was discussed as well as what makes and keeps a pond healthy. The class also analyzed the pollutants in and around the pond and discussed the effects therein.
