Susan B. Smith has been named the 2019 Business Person of the Year by the Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce. Smith is a certified public accountant based in Blythewood with more than 25 years of experience working with small businesses, churches, nonprofits and individuals.

McNulty’s Taproom, owned and operated by Larry “Trippy” Phillips, has been named the 2019 Small Business of the Year, while Providence Health Northeast, under the leadership of Joseph Bernard, has won the Large Business honors.

Amy Ellisor of Camp Discovery has been named winner of the 2019 Community Service Award.

Winners were selected by an awards committee based on nominations from chamber members.

“Each of these award winners have exemplified outstanding qualities of business growth, community impact and service, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership, and have been selected for these demonstrated abilities in the Blythewood community by their peers,” chamber executive director Phil Frye said in announcing the results.

The awards will be presented at the chamber’s annual awards gala banquet Feb. 8 at Cobblestone Park Golf Club. Tickets are available at
