Benedict’s Frazier Named Track Athlete Of Year

NEW ORLEANS – Benedict College track standout Brianna Frazier has been named the Division II South Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year, announced the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Frazier, a junior from Jacksonville, Florida, is ranked in the top-10 nationally in both the 200 and 400. In the longer sprint, she is ranked sixth with a time of 54.37, while in the shorter one she is ranked eighth in 23.74. Frazier is the only female athlete who will compete in four events at NCAAs.

Each of the eight regions honored both genders’ top track athletes and field athletes, and the top men’s and women’s head coaches and assistant coaches.

Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches.

Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
