The 100 Black Men Of Greater Columbia held its 15th Annual Black Tie Gala on December 5, 2014 at the Marriot Hotel located downtown Columbia, SC. This event recognized and honored the many contributors and partners of the 100 Black Men with an evening of entertainment and dinner.
This year’s entertainment was the elegant band known as “Da Voices” out of Myrtle Beach, SC and the MC for the event was no other than Tre’ Taylor who enthusiastically moderated this event with poise and presence.
The success of the Gala allows the 100 Black Men to award scholarships to many youths in our community who aspire to achieve higher education and become mentors themselves. Through mentoring, education, economic empowerment and health & wellness awareness, volunteers and members are able to make a difference in the lives of young men in the Columbia area. The Annual Gala also serves as an opportunity to highlight the many programs sponsored by the 100 Black Men Of Greater Columbia and share accomplishments and success stories.
The Black Tie event will continue to grow as the Greater Columbia Chapter strives to make the Gala one of Columbia’s premier events. The Gala was attended by the “who’s who” of the Columbia Metropolitan area and the many supporters of the organization.
