Greater Columbia Community Relations Council A Celebration of 54 Years of Service
The members of the Greater Columbia Community Relations Council’s (“CRC”) Board of Directors and the 2018 Annual Luncheon Planning Committee are pleased to announce the 54th Anniversary Luncheon and Awards Presentations on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center from 12:00-1:30 p.m. (Buffet will open at 11:50)
The luncheon celebrates Midlands area individuals, groups and businesses who continue to bring our community together. The event also serves as the CRC’s primary fundraiser. 2018 honorees are:
The Hyman Rubin Distinguished Service Award
The Honorable Stephen K. Benjamin – Mayor, Columbia, South Carolina
Bates-Jones Equity and Philanthropy Award
The Milton Kimpson Community Service Award
Matt Kennell – President, CEO, City Center Partnership
The Greater Columbia Community Relations Council is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization serving the Midlands of South Carolina. Our goal is to advocate, mediate and educate in such a way that all of the citizens of our diverse communities are included in the public policies that shape our region. CRC’s programs include public educational forums and deliberative dialogues; mediation of contentious community issues; advocacy programs with particular emphasis on the housing needs of the disabled and low to moderate income individuals; and youth leadership engagement and mentorship.
